Tom Pilarski, PLS and Lisa Spivak, PLS from GUIDA will be presenting on drone surveys and utility locating.

Tom Pilarski, PLS, is the Geospatial Solutions Lead at Guida, an SBE survey firm with offices across California that has specialized exclusively in land surveying, mapping, subsurface utility engineering and geospatial services, providing comprehensive support to local agencies and infrastructure projects for 30 years. Tom is also actively involved in ACEC, ASCE, and UESI, contributing to advancements in geospatial solutions, subsurface utility engineering and survey innovation.

Over Tom’s 30 years in the Land Surveying industry, he has worked on several large projects like Southern California Gas’s Pipeline Safety Enhancement Program (PSEP), California High Speed Rail and the Los Alamitos Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project, one of the world’s largest BESS facilities.   Tom has extensive experience in providing LiDAR mapping, providing 3-D models and providing subsurface utility mapping for design and asset management projects.

Lisa Spivak, PLS is a California Professional Land Surveyor with over 30 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in Surveying Engineering from CSU Fresno. With a career spanning the full breadth of California, she provides expertise in land surveying and geospatial services across various disciplines including transportation, rail, transit, aviation, water and energy infrastructure, and land development. With a strong foundation in project management, innovation, and strategic leadership, Lisa is recognized for driving excellence in geospatial solutions and fostering a forward-thinking culture in the surveying profession.
