John Ellis, MAI, CRE, FRICS, will be presenting to the chapter on the current state of the economy and real estate market. This will be his 16th consecutive year presenting to Chapter 67! This presentation will address major trends currently affecting the economy and consider the impacts of real estate. It will also focus on valuation and pricing issues within property-specific submarkets of Southern California, with a focus on Orange County.
SPEAKER BIO:
John Ellis, MAI, CRE, FRICS
John Ellis is an Executive Vice President in CBRE’s Valuation and Advisory Services group. He has provided appraisal, consulting, and litigation support services in Southern California for more than 40 years. He is a graduate of UCLA with a degree in Business Economics and is member of IRWA’s Chapter No. 1. John is also a past president of the Southern California Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, and received the Chapter’s Lifetime Professional Service Award in 2018. He has testified in Federal and Superior Courts on appraisal issues in more than 30 cases, in addition to testifying at many other hearings and arbitrations. He is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer on economic conditions and various topics relating to real estate valuation. This presentation will mark the 16th consecutive year for John to address our chapter about the current state of the economy and our real estate markets.
